Gregg Scheibel transitioned into the Financial Services industry in 1993 after working seven years with the Xerox Corporation. Gregg’s preference to serve his clientele as an independent financial advisor has enabled him to offer an unrestricted and common sense approach intended to zero in on the specific objectives pertinent to each individual or family he works with. He joined the team at Platt Financial in 2010.
Not long after entering the field, Gregg began the process of furthering his education by enrolling with The College for Financial Planning’s Certified Financial PlannerTM curriculum. His successful completion of their requirements culminated in him receiving the Certified Financial PlannerTM designation in 1997, which he has maintained ever since.
Gregg’s desire to serve the interests of individuals, families, and small businesses has resulted in 23 years of experience in the varied fields of Investment Planning, Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, Insurance Planning, and Income Tax Planning. Gregg maintains the requisite Securities registrations and Insurance licenses allowing his clients access to a very wide range of financial instruments, which is often helpful when tailoring and pursuing specific strategies.
Married and father of five children, Gregg moved to Charlottesville in 1986. An active gardener, he has also served many years as Little League baseball coach and counselor to those incarcerated at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Jail.
